Hotel very old-fashioned. Efforts are made, but based on the service understanding from the 90s. Restaurant - food orientated to the local area - taste and service, on the other hand, great - overall to be recommended for a short trip

Recommended typical Bavarian inn. Had the dish of the day and felt very comfortable there.

My recession only affects the parlor as we didn't eat or stay here. We were only in the bar area, for a beer or wine ... and that was great! Quaint, honest, friendly, great prices! Highly recommended if you want to have a beer etc. in a rustic inn after dinner. Simply quaint! Great! We will be back!

A lovely inn with attentive, friendly staff. Very neat kitchen and cellar. Breakfast, good, the champagne was missing, 😉 but otherwise, everything was very good. Highly Recommended. We feel very well accommodated here.

That went really wrong. In the guest room where we were parked there was a funeral feast. They took care of us normally and quickly, but the starter soup was forgotten. At least it didn't appear on the bill. The prices are relatively high. Compared to the food, downright cheeky. It was the first time that I answered the question how it was with a lied "was ok". The meat is too tough. The sauce too artificial. Almost inedible. It was even more outrageous to charge one euro for changing a side dish without comment. All in all, sad and a shame. It works much better just about one street further.

Had food there in August. Had the veal schnitzel with fried potatoes and salad. Was very tasty, except for the fried potatoes, which were unfortunately not browned and very greasy, therefore 1 star deduction.

If there had been a kettle and a small fridge in the room, I would have given it 5 stars. But otherwise everything is fine.

Daily menu (3 courses) was very good for less than 20 EUR. Good selection on the menu. Friendly and fast service. Perfect if you are hungry after a mountain tour in the area.

Great quaint hotel in a beautiful location! Hotel Gasthof zur Post is a very nice and quaint hotel in a great location in Bayrischzell. Very friendly staff, very lovingly designed rooms with balconies. When I got to my room, I was very happy about the great view from my balcony of two mountains and lush meadows. Breakfast was delicious too. Bayrischzell is a wonderful little place that invites you to relax and feel good. Ideally, there is a small Edeka right next to the hotel, which also offers parking spaces for the hotel. I can only recommend this hotel and it will definitely not be the last time. Thank you so much!

Unfortunately no elevator. Restaurant a bit dated and dark. The other guest rooms were okay. Fast and friendly service from the waiters. Room very clean. A little more friendliness in the morning breakfast would be appropriate. Some soft music would be desirable so that you don't have to listen to every conversation at the next table.

Since we were not entirely satisfied with the food in our hotel, we went to the Gasthof zur Post. Not only that the inn comes across as wonderfully authentic Bavarian, the food was unsurpassable! The service is very nice, the boss cooks himself according to the information provided by the staff. Bavaria's honor is saved!

Very good food, very good service - we felt very comfortable and will be happy to come back.

One of the best economies in all of Bavaria. Here the chef cooks himself and you can clearly see that. The service is super nice. Such economies unfortunately die out or are actually already extinct.

Nice Bavarian restaurant. The staff is very attentive and nice. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. EC card payment is possible.

I went for a dinner with friends. The food itself is a bit better than ever age local Bavarian cuisine. Service however was not good – the waiter was very transactional and immediately left the table in the middle of the round ordering and so half of the table could not place the order. This happened several times. Also, the whole place smells like fatty dripping and all of your cloth will smell the same after spending some time there.

The best veal schnitzel I have ever eaten. Phenomenally good !!!! Many Thanks ! Clock-like atmosphere with Bavarian music from 7 p.m. on Friday evening.

Absolutely amazingly accomodating staff, we accidentally booked for the week before our flights, the day after we were booked to arrive we rang up, they had waited for us the day before, but changed our dates free of charge! They provide us with an extra bed when we asked two nice rooms in a suit! Great breakfast, and restaurant attached.

Excellent hotel, superb rooms. Small little village ideal to forget the world around. Nice place for sky in winter or trekking in summer. It's restaurant is typical for the region and it's pub is outstanding
